Remote Data Contributor (US) - Spanish
We are currently looking for parents/guardians with children between the ages of 5-11 to participate in our Lantana Audio Collection project for native Spanish or Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking Minors in the USA.
What is the project about?
The purpose of this project is to improve speech recognition technology for educational settings. The scope of the project is to collect natural speech from children. The recordings will directly contribute to improving speech technology for students everywhere. It’s a simple way to make a real difference and have a little fun along the way!
Task Description:
With your help, your child(ren) will:
Name simple objects, numbers, letters and colors.
Count aloud to 50 or as far as they can go, just like they would in school!
The parent will need to record the child using our easy-to-use mobile app.

Who is eligible?
To participate you should meet the following qualifying criteria:
Be over 18 years old.
Be the legal guardian of the child(ren) you are registering and sign the Parental Consent Form.
Have a smartphone device to download our app and use it for recording.
Each child you register should meet the following qualifying criteria:
Be 5-11 years old.
Be a resident of the United States.
Be a native speaker of Spanish (US).

Where is the project taking place?
This is a fully remote project. You can participate from the comfort of your home.

How long does it take?
We estimate it will take up to 60 minutes in total to complete all 5 tasks (approx. 30 minutes for the parent/guardian to go through the project guidelines and up to 30 minutes for each child(ren) to complete the 5 tasks).

How much is the compensation?
You will receive $85 USD for all completed and approved tasks.
Partial submissions are allowed only for certain age groups.
As payment method, we offer PayPal, Gift Card, Check and Wire Transfer, according to your preference.
